After having a 10 month long engagement, it's hard to believe the wedding day has come and gone. The whole week leading up to the wedding, the actual wedding day, and honeymoon, were the best experiences ever. I can honestly say that I never experienced the assumed "wedding stress" or bridezilla that is sadly stereotypical in modern weddings today. Granted, there were many emotions and thoughts moving swiftly through my head but I never had anything to freak out about, and was determined to keep a clear head, with the help of peace from God.
The most amazing thing was witnessing our families and friends come together to help. It was like one huge family event and I loved it. My grandma was amazing: Making countless trips to the grocery store, altering my dresses, making decorations and wedding pies... My mom was like the Superwoman of Hostesses: having beds made up for groomsmen and bridesmaids and serving wonderful meals. My dad even held our own house church on Sunday morning before the rehearsal, since we were all missing church, and that in itself was special.

Adam's family was so great, making the wedding cookies and wedding cake, and hosting the most unique Rehearsal dinner at Railhead BBQ, where the whole restaurant was open just for us, when they are usually closed on Sundays.
My brothers were so wonderful, running around to transport people, and Bryce making us our own wedding video.
I can't believe how blessed I am to have such a godly, patient, creative husband. (Ha! Husband!) He is amazing and handsome and my bestest friend.
The craziest part was having all of my best friends and family in one place....that has never happened before. I had met my bridesmaids in Kenya, Germany, Turkey, and the other 2 were my cousin and Adam's sister. Having all of them together, PLUS finally introducing Adam, was a very surreal experience. We were so overwhelmed with love and support and the fact that the priority is our marriage, not the actual wedding itself. It was the most beautiful, drama-free, encouraging time of my life thus far and I am so happy to be Mrs. Doyle.
